MELBOURNE - Jun 25/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over South Australia will move slowly southeastwards to be over the Tasman Sea on Thursday. A weak front will move over the southeast of the SA today, decaying as it moves northwards. Further cold fronts will move over the State later this week associated with a deepening low well south of the Bight. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area. Showers tending scattered over the far southern coasts and the Lower South East district during the day. Early morning fog and frost. Cool with moderate southwest to southeasterly winds gradually easing.Tuesday 26 JuneThe chance of isolated showers near southern coasts, clearing in the afternoon. Morning fogs south of about Woomera to Broken Hill. Early frost over the Pastoral and Flinders districts. Cool with light southeast to northeasterly winds.Wednesday 27 JuneFine apart from early frost and fog patches, chiefly over eastern districts. Cool to mild with light to moderate northeast to northerly winds, freshening near the coasts during the day.Thursday 28 JuneIsolated showers developing over most of the agricultural area and near western coasts, increasing to scattered showers near southern coasts. Generally cool to mild with light to moderate northwesterly winds, fresh over the agricultural area, ahead of a westerly change extending over western districts during the day. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday morning until midnight Thursday are expected to be up to 1 mm over the northern agricultural area, increasing to 1 to 5 mm over the southern agricultural area, with isolated falls of 5 to 10 mm near southern coasts.Friday until SundayIsolated showers over the agricultural area, tending scattered over the southern agricultural area on Friday and Saturday.
