Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 24/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front is expected to move through southern Victoria on Monday. A strong high pressure system will approach from the west later on Monday then move over western Victoria on Tuesday before being located to be just east of the State on Wednesday. Another cold front will approach from the west during Thursday before slipping southwards later.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers, mainly over southern and mountain areas. Snowfalls in Alpine regions above 1400 metres. Moderate to fresh westerly winds, strong at times about the coast.Monday 25 JuneScattered showers in southern areas, isolated elsewhere, before mostly clearing at night. Showers falling as snow above 1400 metres. A cool day with moderate to fresh west to southwesterly winds shifting southerly later.Tuesday 26 JuneMorning fog and frost patches across the north and west. Fine apart from isolated clearing showers over Gippsland, falling as snow above 1300 metres. Cool to cold with light southerly winds.Wednesday 27 JuneWidespread areas of morning fog and frost then a fine and mostly sunny day. Cool to cold with light northerly winds.Thursday 28 JuneLocal early frost in the east. Isolated showers about the eastern ranges. Isolated showers developing in the southwest.
