Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 23/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system over WA is moving slowly east and extends a ridge across northern and central NSW. A cold front well south of the Bight is expected to move east and pass to the south of NSW today. A slightly stronger front will reach the far southeast of the state late Monday then cross the remainder of coastal NSW during Tuesday, with the high to move to the Tasman Sea on Wednesday. Dangerous surf conditions may develop during Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers on the western slopes of the far southern ranges with snow showers above 1500 metres. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Morning frost areas and fog patches. West to southwesterly winds.Monday 25 JuneIsolated showers in the southwestern slopes and on the far south coast later. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Morning frost areas and fog patches. South to southwesterly winds.Tuesday 26 JuneIsolated showers about the coast and adjacent ranges, clearing in the south. Partly cloudy remainder. Morning frost areas. South to southwesterly winds.Wednesday 27 JuneIsolated showers about the northern coast and adjacent ranges. Fine elsewhere. Morning frost areas and fog patches.
