MELBOURNE - Jun 22/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A cold front in the western Tasman Sea is moving eastward. A high pressure system over the western end of the Bight extends a strengthening ridge across NSW behind the front. The high is moving only slowly east and it should be centered over the western Tasman Sea by Thursday. Another cold front is expected to reach the State during Friday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers on the western slopes of the southern and central ranges tending scattered on the Alps and falling as snow above 1200 metres. Mostly sunny elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds.Sunday 24 JuneIsolated showers on the western slopes of the far southern ranges with snow showers above 1200 metres. Partly cloudy elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds.Monday 25 JuneIsolated showers in the southwestern slopes. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Morning frosts inland.
