Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 22/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front with an associated low to the south is crossing eastern New South Wales and a strong high pressure system is moving south of the Bight extending a ridge behind the front. The high is moving very slowly east and it should be center over the western Tasman Sea by Thursday and another cold front is expected to through the state during Friday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayPatchy rain in the eastern inland tending to rain areas on western slopes of the southern ranges with some snow above 900 meters. Isolated clearing showers in the southwest. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Gusty west to northwest winds turning west to southwesterly in the west and southeast. .Saturday 23 JuneIsolated showers on the western slopes of the southern and central tending scattered on the Alps and falling as snow above 1200 metres. Mostly sunny elsewhere. West to northwesterly winds, tending southwesterly on the north and central coasts.Sunday 24 JuneIsolated showers on the western slopes of the far southern ranges with snow showers above 1200 metres. Partly cloudy elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds.Monday 25 JuneIsolated showers in the southwestern slopes. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Morning frosts inland. South to southwesterly winds.Tuesday 26 June
Mostly sunny, apart from the chance of shower on the central coast. Morning frosts inland. South to southwesterly winds.
