Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 16/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over central Australia extends a ridge into New South Wales as a low pressure trough moves eastwards through the Tasman Sea. The high is expected to remain anchored over central and New South Wales through until later in the week, producing fine weather for much of the state.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers in the northeast clearing early. Isolated showers on western slopes of the southern ranges, more likely in the far south and falling as snow above 1400 meters. Mostly sunny elsewhere. West to southwest winds, strong to gale force and gusty over parts of southeast.Monday 18 JuneIsolated showers on the western slopes on of the southern ranges with snow showers above 1600 metres. Early frost inland. Partly cloudy remainder. West to southwesterly winds, strong to gale force and gusty in the far southeast during early hours.Tuesday 19 JuneIsolated showers on the western slopes on of the southern ranges with snow showers above 1700 metres. Early frost inland. Partly cloudy remainder. West to southwesterly winds in the east, tending light and variable in the west.Wednesday 20 JuneIsolated showers on the western slopes on of the southern ranges with snow showers 1900 metres.
