Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 13/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A deep low pressure system to the northwest of Norfolk Island is moving further eastward. A high to the east of Tasmania extends a ridge across the west of the State. The high is expected to slowly drift toward New Zealand, with the associated ridge extending throughout of NSW. Another low pressure trough is expected to move through the state during the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayScattered showers along the coasts, tending isolated over adjacent ranges. Mostly sunny the remainder. Southeast to northeast winds, tending north to northwesterly in the far west.Thursday 14 JuneIsolated showers along the coast, contracting north during the morning, then clearing later in the day. Chance of isolated afternoon showers on the ranges. Isolated showers over the southern inland in far south. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Northeast to northwesterly winds.Friday 15 JuneScattered showers ranges and slopes in far south, easing. Some snow on higher picks. Patchy rain developing in the far west later in the day, extending eastward. Mostly sunny elsewhere. North to northwest winds.Saturday 16 JuneMostly sunny in the far northeast. Patchy rain the remainder, increasing to rain areas and becoming widespread over the central inland and the southeast. Northerly winds turning westerly in the west.Sunday 17 JuneRain clearing early from the east. Isolated showers on west ranges and slopes. Snow showers on the southern ranges above 1200m.
