MELBOURNE - Jun 12/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure system in the southern Coral Sea is extending a trough along the New South Wales north and central coasts, while a high pressure system near Tasmania extends a ridge across the west of the State. The low will continue to move eastward away from the coast as the high moves very slowly to the southeast, with the associated ridge strengthening across the State. Another low pressure trough is expected to move through the state during the weeekend. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers on the coast and ranges, scattered along the coastal fringe at first, but easing during the day. Mostly sunny the remainder. Southeast to northeast winds, tending north to northwesterly in the far west.Thursday 14 JuneIsolated showers along the coast, contracting north during the morning, then clearing later in the day. Isolated showers over the southern inland in far south. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Northeast to northwesterly winds.Friday 15 JunePatchy rain developing in the far west, extending eastward later in the day. Mostly sunny elsewhere. North to northwest winds.Saturday 16 JuneMostly sunny in the far northeast. Patchy rain the remainder, increasing to rain areas over the central inland and the southeast.
