MELBOURNE - Jun 11/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure system in the Coral Sea is deepening and extending a trough along the New South Wales north and central coasts while a high pressure system near Tasmania extends a ridge to the northwest of the state. The low will move slowly east away from the coast over the next couple of days, as the high moves very slowly to the southeast and strengthens the ridge across the state. Another low pressure trough is expected move through the state during Saturday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayScattered showers along the coast and ranges, more widespread along the coastal fringe from about Nowra northwards with locally heavy falls possible. Isolated showers in the afternoon on the North West Slopes. Partly cloudy remainder. East to southeast winds, tending northeasterly in the far west. Dangerous surf conditions north of Smoky Cape.Wednesday 13 JuneIsolated showers on the coast and ranges, widespread along the coastal fringe at first, but easing during the day. Mostly sunny remainder. Southeast to northeast winds, tending north to northwesterly over the southern ranges and slopes.Thursday 14 JuneIsolated showers along the north coast and near the Victorian border over the southern inland. Partly cloudy on the coast and in the south. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Northeast to northwesterly winds.Friday 15 JunePatchy rain developing over the inland. Mostly sunny elsewhere.
