Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 11/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A large high pressure system centred just to the southeast of Tasmania will drift over the south Tasman Sea on Tuesday and Wednesday. A weakening cold front will approach southwestern Victoria from the west on Tuesday night then slip away to the south. A low pressure system is expected to form south of the Bight during Wednesday and will be slow moving. The low will remain well to the west of Tasmania on Thursday and Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayFog and mist patches redeveloping tonight mainly over central and eastern districts. Isolated showers over far east Gippsland. Light winds.Tuesday 12 JuneA cold morning with areas of frost. Morning fog patches mainly in the east then fine for most of the day with high cloud increasing over the west. The chance of light showers in the far southwest during the evening. A cool day with generally light to moderate northeast to northerly wind.Wednesday 13 JuneIsolated showers in the southwest. Local early frost and fog in the east. A cool and partly cloudy day with moderate to fresh northerly wind.Thursday 14 JuneIsolated showers affecting most districts. A cool to mild and partly cloudy day with fresh north to northwesterly winds.Friday 15 JuneIsolated showers mostly over the southwest and about the eastern ranges. A cool to mild day with moderate to fresh northwesterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Tuesday.Product IDV10310
