MELBOURNE - Jun 10/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A large high pressure system will move very slowly across Tasmania today then drift over the southern Tasman Sea on Tuesday and Wednesday. A weakening cold front will approach southwestern Victoria from the west on Tuesday night then slip away to the south. A low pressure system is expected to form south of the Bight during Wednesday and should become slow moving well to the west of Tasmania on Thursday. Forecast for the rest of MondayMorning fog areas, locally persisting to midday in the south. Extensive morning frosts on and north of the divide then a mostly sunny afternoon. Isolated showers on the east Gippsland coast. A cool to cold day with light winds.Tuesday 12 JuneEarly frost and fog in the east then fine for most of the day with high cloud increasing. The chance of light showers in the far southwest during the evening. A cool day with a light to moderate northeast to northerly wind.Wednesday 13 JuneIsolated showers in the southwest. Local early frost and fog in the east. A cool and partly cloudy day with moderate to fresh northerly wind.Thursday 14 JuneIsolated showers in western and central areas but mainly fine over the east.
