Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 9/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system to the south of South Australia will move slowly southeastward to be centred over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday. A series of troughs will begin moving over the State from Tuesday, weakening as they move eastwards. An intense low will develop southwest of the Bight midweek.
Forecast for the rest of SundayCold early with frost over inland areas. A fine and cool day with light winds in the east, tending moderate northeasterly in the west.Monday 11 JuneCold at first with areas of frost over eastern districts. Isolated early fog in the southeast. Isolated light showers developing west of about Coober Pedy to Port Lincoln. A cool day, grading to mild in the far west. Light to moderate northeasterly winds, freshening near southern and western coasts.Tuesday 12 JuneEarly frost patches over eastern border districts. Isolated showers about the West Coast, Eyre Peninsula, southern Yorke Peninsula, Kangaroo Island, Fleurieu Peninsula and the Lower South East. Mild in the west and northwest and cool over the remainder with moderate north to northwest winds, fresh to strong near the coasts.Wednesday 13 JuneIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area, contracting eastwards, but isolated showers also developing over the West Coast during the day and extending eastwards. Cool in the southeast grading to mild to warm in the west with moderate northeast to northwest winds, strengthening near southern and western coasts. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning until midnight Wednesday are generally expected to be less than 2 mm, possibly reaching 5 to 10 mm about southern coasts.Thursday until SaturdayIsolated showers over the agricultural area, becoming confined to southern and western coasts on Friday, then extending northwards again on Saturday. Cool to mild, grading to mild to warm in the west and north. Light to moderate northeast to northwest winds, fresh and times, reaching fresh to strong near the coasts.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Sunday.Product IDS10033
