MELBOURNE - Jun 9/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A large high pressure system south of Adelaide will move very slowly eastwards crossing Tasmania late on Sunday then drifting over the southern Tasman Sea on Monday and Tuesday. A weakening cold front will approach southwestern Victoria from the west on Tuesday night then slip away to the south. A low pressure system is expected to form south of the Bight during Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayScattered showers and drizzle over southern and mountain areas, more isolated in the southwest. Cool to cold and mostly cloudy with light to moderate south to southwesterly winds.Sunday 10 JuneMorning fog and frost patches, mostly north of the divide. A fine day to follow in the north with patchy cloud. Isolated showers and drizzle in the south, scattered at first near the central coast. Cool with light southerly winds.Monday 11 JuneMorning fog and frost areas. Isolated showers in the far east. Otherwise fine, cool and becoming mostly sunny with light winds.Tuesday 12 JuneEarly frost and fog in the east then fine for most of the day with high cloud increasing. The chance of light showers in the far southwest during the evening. A cool to mild day with a light to moderate northeast to northerly wind.Wednesday 13 JuneIsolated showers, mainly in the west.
