MELBOURNE - Jun 8/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system is moving towards the Bass Strait extending a ridge to northern New South Wales. Later on Sunday a low pressure system will develop over the northern Tasman Sea and deepen on Monday as the high moves southeast of Tasmania maintaining the ridge to the northwest of the state. The low is expected to move slowly east away from the coast during Tuesday and Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of Saturday Isolated showers on the north coast, possibly extending to the northern slopes in the afternoon. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Widespread early frosts and fogs areas inland. Southwest to southeast winds. Dangerous surf conditions. Sunday 10 JuneScattered showers on the north and central coast tending isolated on the adjacent ranges. Rain areas developing on the north coast later. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Widespread early frosts inland. South to southeast winds, freshening near the north coast.Monday 11 JunePartly cloudy in the western half. Rain areas on the northern half of the coast and adjacent ranges. Isolated showers elsewhere tending scattered near the south coast. Southeast winds, fresh and gusty on the north coast.Tuesday 12 JuneIsolated showers coast and ranges tending scattered on the coastal fringe in the north. Partly cloudy remainder.
