MELBOURNE - Jun 8/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A strong high pressure system to the south of South Australia will move slowly eastward to be centred over the Tasman sea on Tuesday. A trough will move slowly over the State from late Tuesday, weakening as it moves eastwards. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers developing west of about Fowlers Bay. The chance of isolated light showers near southern coasts, otherwise fine. A cool day with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds.Sunday 10 JuneCold at first with areas of frost. Isolated early fog in the South East district. A fine and cool day with light winds in the east, tending moderate northeasterly in the west.Monday 11 JuneCold at first with areas of frost over eastern districts. Isolated early fog in the Lower South East. Isolated light showers developing in the far west. A cool day, grading to mild in the far west. Light to moderate northeasterly winds, freshening near southern and western coasts.Tuesday 12 JuneEarly frost patches over eastern border districts. Isolated showers extending eastwards into Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula and Kangaroo Island, but clearing north of about Ceduna during the morning. Mild in the west and northwest and cool over the remainder with moderate north to northwest winds, fresh to strong near the coasts. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday morning until midnight Tuesday are generally expected to be less than 2 mm.Wednesday until FridayIsolated showers chiefly over the agricultural area, becoming confined to southern and western coasts on Friday. Cool to mild, grading to mild to warm in the west and north.
