MELBOURNE - Jun 8/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A large high pressure system south of Adelaide will move very slowly eastwards during the next few days, while a cold front will pass to the south of Tasmania early Saturday. The high will move across Tasmania during Monday to reach the south Tasman Sea by Tuesday. A weakening cold front will approach southwestern Victoria from the west Tuesday night. Forecast for the rest of FridayScattered showers over southern and mountain areas, mainly near the coast. Fine in the north. Light to moderate south to southwesterly winds.Saturday 9 JuneWidespread morning frost in the north then fine and partly cloudy. Scattered showers over southern and mountain areas, mainly near the coast. Cool with light to moderate south to southwesterly winds.Sunday 10 JuneMorning fog and frost inland then fine over the north. Isolated showers in the south, contracting eastwards during the day. Cool with light southerly winds.Monday 11 JuneMorning fog and frost patches. Isolated showers in the far east. Otherwise fine, cool and mostly sunny with light winds.Tuesday 12 JuneEarly frost and fog in the east then fine for most of the day but isolated showers developing in the southwest later.
