Weather Situation A large high pressure system south of the Bight will move very slowly eastwards during the next few days, with weak cold fronts passing just south of Tasmania tonight and later Friday. The high is expected to be located just southeast of Tasmania by Monday night. Forecast for the rest of ThursdayCloudy in the south with with isolated showers near the coast. Fine but partly cloudy in the north. Light to moderate southerly winds.Friday 8 JuneMorning frost patches in the north, locally severe in the northeast. Scattered showers over southern and mountain areas, mainly near the coast. Fine and partly cloudy in the north. Cool with light to moderate south to southwesterly winds.Saturday 9 JuneMorning frost patches in the north then fine and partly cloudy. Scattered showers over southern and mountain areas, mainly near the coast. Cool with light to moderate south to southwesterly winds.Sunday 10 JuneLocal morning fog and frost inland then fine over the north.
