Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 6/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system centred well south of the Bight will move slowly northeastward to be centred over Tasmania on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayPossible isolated showers near southern coasts. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds, fresh at times near southern coasts.Thursday 7 JunePossible isolated showers near southern tips of the peninsulas, Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East coast, mainly during the morning. Cold at first with morning frost patches inland and isolated fog. A cool to cold day with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Friday 8 JuneCold at first with isolated fog on and east of the ranges and areas of frost. Possible isolated showers about the Lower South East coast, Kangaroo Island and developing in the west. A cool day with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds.Saturday 9 JuneCold at first with isolated fog east of the ranges and areas of frost. Possible isolated showers about the Lower South East coast and Kangaroo Island and clearing from the west. A cool day with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds.Sunday 10 JuneCold at first with areas of frost. Possible isolated showers about the Lower South East coast clearing. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday afternoon until midnight Sunday are expected to be less than 2 mm.Monday until WednesdayIsolated showers developing west of Ceduna during Monday, extending east to reach Coober Pedy to Kingscote during Tuesday then extending over most parts, except the far northeast, on Wednesday. Isolated morning frost patches in the east on Monday and Tuesday. Cool with moderate southeast to northeasterly winds becoming north to northwesterly and freshening in the west and south during Tuesday ahead of a moderate to fresh southwesterly change in the far west on Tuesday, reaching Port Lincoln on Wednesday .The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Thursday.Product IDS10033
