Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 6/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system centred well south of the Bight will move slowly northeastward to be centred over Tasmania on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers near southern and western coasts. Cold at first inland with isolated frost then a cool day with moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds.Thursday 7 JunePossible isolated showers near southern tips of the peninsulas, Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East coast, mainly during the morning. Cold at first with morning frost patches inland and isolated fog about the southeast. A cool to cold day with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Friday 8 JuneCold at first with isolated fog on and east of the ranges and areas of frost. Possible isolated showers about the Lower South East coast and Kangaroo Island. A cool day with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds.Saturday 9 JunePossible isolated showers about the Lower South East coast and Kangaroo Island. Cold at first with areas of frost. Cool with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday morning until midnight Saturday are expected to be less than 3 mm.Sunday until TuesdayPossible showers about the far southern coasts clearing. Isolated showers developing ahead of a trough in the west during Monday, then extending over most parts during Tuesday, while clearing from the west. Showers becoming scattered over western and central parts of the agricultural area with the trough. Cool with moderate southeast to northeasterly winds becoming north to northwesterly and freshening in the west and south during Monday ahead of a moderate to fresh southwesterly change during Tuesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Wednesday.Product IDS10033
