Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 5/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A deep low pressure system is moving across the Tasman Sea and should be located near New Zealand on Wednesday. A large high pressure system south of Western Australia will cross waters well south of the Bight during Wednesday and Thursday maintaining a southerly airflow across Victoria. The high will move slowly towards western Victoria on Friday and Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayScattered showers over eastern districts, becoming isolated towards the west and becoming confined to coastal districts in the southwest. Snowfalls above 1300 metres. Moderate southeasterly winds, fresh at first in the southeast.Wednesday 6 JuneEarly frost patches inland. Isolated showers over southern and mountain districts, mostly near the coast. Showers more widespread over East Gippsland during the morning. Fine over the north. Cool with moderate southerly winds.Thursday 7 JuneLocal morning fog and frost inland then fine over the north. Isolated showers over southern and mountain districts, mostly near the coast. Cool with moderate southerly winds.Friday 8 JuneLocal morning fog and frost inland then fine over the north. Isolated showers over southern and mountain districts, mostly near the coast. Cool with light to moderate southerly winds.Saturday 9 JuneLocal morning fog and frost inland then fine over the north. Isolated showers over southern and mountain districts, mostly near the coast.
