Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 2/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred over the Tasman Sea will weaken this weekend, as a weak trough of low pressure passes to the south of the State. Another, strong, slow moving high will move south of the Bight early next week.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayPatchy rain over the Northeast Pastoral district east of about Leigh Creek. Fine over the Mid North, Riverland, Murraylands and Upper South East districts. Isolated showers over the remainder. Chance of thunderstorms about western coasts. Cool with mainly moderate south to southeasterly winds, fresh near the coasts.Sunday 3 JunePatchy rain over the Northeast Pastoral district east of about Leigh Creek. Isolated showers near southern and western coasts and also west of about Ceduna to Marla. Cool with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh at times near the coast.Monday 4 JunePatchy rain about the eastern border areas of the Northeast Pastoral, Murraylands and Riverland districts Isolated showers over the agricultural area and western coasts. Cool with light to moderate southwest to southeast winds, fresh near southern coasts.Tuesday 5 JuneIsolated early morning showers over eastern districts south of Leigh Creek. Fine over the remainder apart from isolated showers near southern and western coasts. Cool with light to moderate southeast to south winds, fresh at times near southern coasts. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday morning until midnight Tuesday are expected to be 5-15 mm near southern and western coasts and over the Northeast Pastoral east of Leigh Creek. 1 to 5 mm is expected over the remainder.Wednesday until FridayIsolated showers near southern and western coasts, contracting to southern coasts on Thursday. Cold mornings inland with frost patches. Cool days with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds, tending easterly in the west.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Saturday.Product IDS10033
