Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 28/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred near Adelaide extends a ridge across Victoria. A weak front will move across Tasmania and Bass Strait tonight, then the high will move slowly eastwards over Victoria on Wednesday to reach the Tasman Sea on Thursday. The next cold front will approach the far southwest of the State Friday evening.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayLocal early fog and frost patches in the north then a mainly sunny day. Mostly cloudy south of the divide with isolated light showers or drizzle patches. Cool with light to moderate south to southwest winds.Wednesday 30 MayEarly fog and frost patches in the north then a mostly sunny day. Mostly cloudy in the south with drizzle patches, clearing during the evening. Cool to mild with light and variable winds.Thursday 31 MayEarly frost inland and widespread morning fog patches. Then a fine, cool to mild and mainly sunny day to follow with winds tending light northeasterly.Friday 1 JuneEarly morning frost in the northeast and morning fog patches. The a fine, cool to mild and mainly sunny day until isolated showers developing in the southwest towards the evening. Light to moderate northeast to northwest winds, freshening in the far southwest later.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Tuesday.Product IDV10310
