Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 28/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Great Australian Bight will move slowly southeastward to be centred over the southeast of the continent on Thursday. A low pressure trough will develop over the northeast on Thursday and Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated light showers near southern coasts and ranges. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds.Tuesday 29 MayIsolated showers near southern coasts and ranges. Cold at first with isolated morning fog and frost, then cool with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 30 MayPossible isolated showers near southern coasts clearing in the afternoon. Cold at first with isolated frost mainly on and east of the Flinders Ranges and morning fog patches in the southeast. A cool day with light to moderate easterly winds.Thursday 31 MayIsolated showers developing over the Northeast Pastoral. Morning fog patches in the southeast. Cool with light to moderate east to northeasterly winds.Friday 1 JuneIsolated showers extending over central and eastern districts. Cool with light to moderate northeasterly winds turning southwest to southeasterly. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday afternoon until midnight Friday are expected to be 5 to 10 mm in the northeast, and less than 3 mm elsewhere.Saturday until MondayIsolated showers extending west before contracting to the agricultural area and southern pastorals by Monday. Cool with moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds. There is some level of uncertainty in the long term forecast due to inconsistent model guidance.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Tuesday.Product IDS10033
