MELBOURNE - May 26/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over Bight waters today will extend a ridge across Victoria by Monday. The high will move very slowly eastwards over the next few days. Forecast for the rest of SundayEarly frost patches in the north. Isolated showers on and south of the ranges, more widespread over Gippsland. Showers falling as snow on the ranges above 1600 metres. Cool with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, strong at times about the Gippsland coast.Monday 28 MayLocal early frost patches inland. Isolated showers persisting in southern areas but fine over the northern plains. Cool and partly cloudy with light to moderate south to southwest winds.Tuesday 29 MayLocal early fog and frost patches inland. Isolated showers in southern areas but fine over the northern plains. Cool and partly cloudy with light to moderate south to southwest winds.Wednesday 30 MayLocal early fog and frost patches inland. Isolated showers near the coast, mainly morning.
