MELBOURNE - May 26/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A weakening front is moving east of the state. A high pressure system centred over the southwest of Western Australia will move slowly eastward to be centred south of the Bight by Sunday afternoon. This high will then move slowly southeastward early next week to be centred over the southeast of the continent by Thursday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers over the agricultural area, Flinders and southern pastoral districts. Cool with moderate southwest to southerly winds.Sunday 27 MayIsolated showers about the southern agricultural area and near remaining coasts, contracting to southern coasts and ranges by evening. Isolated early drizzle and fog about the pastoral and Flinders districts. Generally cool with mainly moderate southwest to southeast winds.Monday 28 MayIsolated showers near southern coasts and ranges. Cold at first with isolated frost about eastern districts, then cool with light to moderate southwest to southeast winds.Tuesday 29 MayIsolated showers near southern coasts. Cold at first with isolated frost mainly about eastern districts, then cool with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 30 May Isolated showers near southern coasts clearing late afternoon. Cold at first with isolated frost mainly about eastern districts, then cool with light to moderate southeast to easterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday afternoon until midnight Wednesday are expected to be 1 to 5 mm over the agricultural area, and up to 2 mm over the southern pastoral districts and remainder of the Flinders district. Thursday until SaturdayIsolated showers developing in the north of the Northeast Pastoral on Thursday gradually extending over the remainder of the Northeast Pastoral, and the Flinders and Riverland districts by Saturday.
