Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 20/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over northern Victoria will drift northeastwards and will move off the northern New South Wales coast on Monday. A weakening cold front will approach southwest Victoria later on Monday before slipping away to the south. Another cold front will approach southwest Victoria late on Tuesday before moving across the State on Wednesday and weakening. An upper level trough will follow across South Australia and will produce a low pressure system over western New South Wales on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayMorning inland frosts. Local early fog over the north and east. Otherwise fine apart from possible late showers in the far southwest. A cool to mild and mostly sunny day with light winds tending moderate north to northwesterly in the south then freshening tonight in the southwest.Tuesday 22 MayScattered showers in the southwest but fine elsewhere after early fog and frosts. A mostly sunny day across the north and east but patchy cloud in the south. Cool to mild with north to northwesterly winds, freshening in southern areas.Wednesday 23 MayAreas of rain in the southwest gradually extending northeastwards during the day but remaining fine in the east and far north. A cool to mild day with a moderate to fresh northwesterly wind tending westerly from the west.Thursday 24 MayIsolated showers.
