MELBOURNE - May 20/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high over the south of the state will move eastward to be centred over the Tasman Sea late Monday. A significant cold front and upper disturbance will move across the State during Wednesday and Thursday. Forecast for the rest of SundayPossible isolated showers about southern coasts. Light winds.Monday 21 MayPossible isolated showers about southern coasts. Early frost patches about and east of the Flinders Ranges. Early fog patches. Cool to mild with light winds, tending moderate northwesterly about southern coasts.Tuesday 22 MayIsolated showers about southern districts, scattered over the Lower South East district. Early frost patches on and east of the ranges. Mild with moderate to fresh northwest winds.Wednesday 23 MayIsolated showers extending over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts becoming scattered southwest of Ceduna to Keith. Mild with moderate northwest winds, freshening about southern coasts, ahead of a cold fresh southwesterly change extending from the west and south.Thursday 24 MayIsolated showers over the agricultural areas and south of the Northwest Pastoral, tending to scattered with possible thunderstorms over Eyre and Yorke Peninsulas and western parts of the Flinders and Mid North district. Cool to cold with moderate to fresh southerly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning until midnight Thursday are expected to be 5 to 15 mm over the southern agricultural area and up to 5 mm over remaining agricultural areas and the southern pastorals. Falls of 15 to 30 mm are possible over southern coastal areas, Mt Lofty Ranges and southern Eyre Peninsula.Friday until SundayScattered showers over the agricultural areas north of Adelaide and the south of the Pastoral districts becoming isolated during Friday. Isolated showers elsewhere south of Leigh Creek, gradually contracting to areas south of about Keith to Ceduna.
