MELBOURNE - May 18/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure ridge extends across southern Australia and will produce fine and stable conditions across much of NSW for the next few days. Far northeastern parts of the state may still see a shower or two in an onshore airstream and a southerly change moving over the south of the state will see an increase in cloud and some showers developing on southern and central parts of the coast on Saturday and Sunday. A front is forecast to move into the west of the state towards the end of next week, resulting in rain, tending to snow about elevated areas, and an increase in winds. Forecast for the rest of FridayFine. Light winds, tending moderate to fresh and gusty westerly during the afternoon on the southern ranges.Saturday 19 MayEarly frosts about the tablelands, and morning fog patches in the east. The chance of a morning shower or two along the far northern coast. Otherwise fine and partly cloudy. Light and variable winds, tending southerly across the south during the day.Sunday 20 MayEarly frosts about the tablelands, and morning fog patches in the east. Scattered showers along the central and northern coasts and adjacent slopes. Fine remainder. Generally light southerly winds.Monday 21 MayEarly frosts about the tablelands, and morning fog patches in the east. Isolated showers in the northeast, most likely on the far northern coast and adjacent ranges. Otherwise fine. Generally light winds.Tuesday 22 MayEarly frosts about the tablelands, and morning fog patches in the east. Isolated showers in the northeast, most likely on the far northern coast and adjacent ranges. Otherwise fine.
