Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 18/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak front will move across the south of the State Saturday morning. A high will ridge over the Bight Saturday evening, then slowly move east to be centred over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayPossible isolated showers about western coasts and the southern agricultural area, increasing to scattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms about southern coasts during the evening. Mild with light to moderate northwest to southwest winds, shifting cooler southerly in the west.Saturday 19 MayScattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms on and east of the Mount Lofty Ranges. Isolated showers over the remainder of the agricultural area, the west coast and the far south of the Pastorals. Early frost patches about the Flinders Ranges and eastwards. Areas of morning fog in the west and fog patches over the agricultural area. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwest to southeast winds.Sunday 20 MayPossible isolated early morning showers over the east coast of Eyre Peninsula and developing about southern coasts late in the day. Early frost patches about the Flinders Ranges and eastwards. Early fog patches in the east. Mild to warm with light and variable winds.Monday 21 May
Possible isolated showers about southern coasts. Early frost patches about the Flinders Ranges and eastwards. Early fog patches south of about Leigh Creek. Mild with light and variable winds, tending moderate west to northwest about southern coasts.
Tuesday 22 May
Isolated showers about southern coasts. Early frost patches on the Flinders Ranges. Mild to warm with moderate to fresh northwest winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday afternoon until midnight Tuesday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm over the southern agricultural area and up to 2 mm over the northern agricultural area and west coast.
Wednesday until FridayScattered showers and the chance of isolated thunderstorms gradually extending over the agricultural area and south of the Pastorals from the west and south. Warm with fresh northwest winds, strengthening about southern coasts, ahead of a cold fresh to strong southwesterly change extending from the west and south.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Saturday.Product IDS10033
