Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 16/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high centred over Victoria extends a ridge across New South Wales, and will remain the dominant feature through the next few days as it drifts slowly east. This is expected to maintain fine and stable conditions in most areas, although some parts of the coast may see a shower or two in an onshore airstream. A weak trough appears likely to affect southern districts at the end of the week, but the atmosphere will remain too dry for any significant rainfall.

Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds near the coast, tending light and variable inland.Thursday 17 MayWidespread frosts about the tablelands and adjacent slopes. Morning fog patches in the east. The chance of showers about the northern coast, most likely along the coastal fringe. Otherwise fine and mostly sunny. Light and variable winds, tending southeast to northeasterly along the coast in the afternoon.Friday 18 MayWidespread frosts about the tablelands and adjacent slopes.
