Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 15/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high centred west of Tasmania extends a ridge across New South Wales, and will remain the dominant feature through the next few days as it drifts slowly east. This is expected to maintain fine and stable conditions over most areas, although some parts of the coast may see a shower or two as an onshore airstream develops. A weak trough appears likely to affect southern districts at the end of the week, but the airmass will remain too dry for any significant rainfall.

The chance of showers in coastal districts from the Hunter northwards, most likely along the coastal fringe. Otherwise fine and mostly sunny. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds.Thursday 17 MayEarly frosts and fog patches, chiefly about the tablelands.
