Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 15/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system south of Adelaide will move slowly northeastwards across Victoria on Wednesday then over eastern New South Wales on Thursday as the next cold front approaches the Bight. The front will approach southwest Victoria on Friday night but will weaken out as it crosses southern Victoria on Saturday. A new high pressure system will develop over the Bight on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers in the south but fine and mostly clear over the north. Light to moderate southwest to southerly wind.Wednesday 16 MayMorning inland fogs and isolated frost in the north. The chance of morning drizzle in the Central and Gippsland districts. A fine and cool to mild afternoon, mostly sunny in the north but partly cloudy in the south. Light and variable winds.Thursday 17 MayMorning fogs, mostly over the north and east and local early frost in the northeast. A fine, cool to mild and mainly sunny day to follow. Light to moderate north to northwest winds.Friday 18 MayFine and cool to mild over most of the State with increasing cloud. Isolated showers developing in the southwest and possibly reaching central areas at night. Moderate to fresh north to northwest wind.Saturday 19 MayIsolated showers in southern and mountain areas. A cool to mild and partly cloudy day. Light to moderate northwest wind becoming variable later.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Wednesday.Product IDV10310
