Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 14/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high south of the Bight will move slowly eastwards over the next few days. A trough will move over western parts of the State on Thursday, then throughout by early Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers about southern coasts and ranges. Cool to mild. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds.Tuesday 15 MayMorning frost or fog over agricultural areas and southern Pastoral districts. Isolated showers about southern coasts and ranges gradually clearing from the north during the afternoon and evening. Mild to warm in the west, cool to mild elsewhere with light to moderate northeast to northwest winds, freshening in the west.Wednesday 16 MayAreas of morning frost. Isolated showers developing in the far west extending to coastal areas west of about Ceduna, Port Lincoln and Kingscote during the evening. Fine otherwise. Cool to mild with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, becoming warmer in the west with freshening northerly winds ahead of a southwesterly wind change during the afternoon.Thursday 17 MayIsolated showers extending to southwest of about Port Augusta to Bordertown by the end of the day. The chance of morning frost on and east of the ranges. Generally mild with mainly light to moderate northerly winds ahead of a cooler southerly change in the west.Friday 18 May
Isolated showers extending over agricultural areas and the West Coast district, increasing to scattered showers and possible thunderstorms with the southwesterly change over southern coasts late in the day. Generally mild with light to moderate northerly winds, shifting cooler southwest to southerly from the west later.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday afternoon until midnight Friday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm over the agricultural area with isolated local falls of 5 to 10 mm about the West Coast, Lower Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island. Less than 2 mm elsewhere.
Saturday until MondayIsolated showers gradually contracting to southern coasts and clearing by early next week. Isolated thunderstorms possible with the change overnight Friday into Saturday morning. Remaining cool to mild with moderating southwest to southeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Tuesday.Product IDS10033
