Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 10/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred over northeast New South Wales extends a ridge to the west. A cold front has moved through Tasmania and extends a trough over southern NSW. The high pressure system is expected to dominate and keep this trough in southern parts of NSW as a weak southerly moves along southern parts of the coast today before weakening later in the day. Towards the end of the week the ridge will weaken, allowing another trough and associated cold front to move across the state. As a result temperatures will fall significantly over the weekend.
