MELBOURNE - May 5/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system southeast of the Bight extends a ridge into western New South Wales, while a broad low pressure trough lies over the western Tasman Sea. A deepening low within this trough is moving to the southeast as the ridge strengthen across the state. This ridge is expected to be the dominant synoptic feature during the next week, maintaining generally fine conditions across the region as it drifts slowly eastwards. A cold front is expected to affect the state at the end of the week. Forecast for the rest of SundayMainly sunny. Early fog and frost patches in the east. South to southwest winds.Monday 7 MayThe chance of showers across the southern inland. Mainly sunny elsewhere. Morning fog and frost patches in the east. West to northwest winds.Tuesday 8 MayEarly fog and frost patches, chiefly in the east. Mostly sunny day. North to northwest winds.Wednesday 9 MayMostly sunny apart from the chance of showers about parts of the southern inland. Patchy morning fog in the east.
