MELBOURNE - May 5/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high south of Kangaroo Island is expected to weaken and move northeastwards over the next few days. A series of cold fronts linked to a deep low well south of Western Australia will move across southern parts of the State during the week. Forecast for the rest of SundayCloudy with the chance of isolated showers about western and southern coasts. Fine further north. Mild to warm with light to moderate northeast to northwest winds, freshening during the morning.Monday 7 MayIsolated showers south of about Adelaide with possible isolated showers over the remainder of the southern agricultural area. Mild to warm with moderate northerly winds turning west to southwesterly over western parts of State.Tuesday 8 MayFine apart from possible isolated showers over Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East. Mild to warm with moderate northerly winds, shifting northwest to southwesterly from the west during the day.Wednesday 9 MayIsolated showers over the agricultural area south of about Adelaide. Mild to warm with light to moderate northwesterly winds shifting southwesterly from the west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning until midnight Wednesday are expected to be generally less than 2 mm with local falls of 2 to 5 mm over the Lower South East and about southern coasts.Thursday until SaturdayIsolated showers developing about southern coasts Thursday evening, extending north on Friday to reach the south of the pastoral districts before contracting to south of about Adelaide on Saturday. Mild to warm with light to moderate north to northerly winds ahead of a milder moderate southerly change in the west on Thursday extending throughout during Friday.
