Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - May 2/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred south of the Bight is expected to weaken and move slowly southeastwards during the next few days.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area, tending scattered over the Lower South East. Isolated early showers about the far west coast. Cold at first with patchy frost on and east of the Flinders and Mt Lofty Ranges, then a cool to mild day. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds.Friday 4 May
Isolated showers over the southern agricultural area, contracting to southern coasts and ranges in the evening.
Isolated early fog over the agricultural area and far south of the pastoral districts. Cold early, with patchy frost on and east of the Flinders Ranges and in the far west, then a mild day. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds, tending northeast in the west.
Saturday 5 MayFine apart from the chance of isolated showers about southern coasts and ranges. Isolated early fog over the agricultural area. Cold early, with patchy frost on and east of the Flinders Ranges, then a mild day. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds.Sunday 6 May
Fine apart from the chance of isolated showers about far western and southern coasts. Isolated early fog in the far west and southeast. Mild to warm with light to moderate northeast to northwest winds, turning southwest to southeast in the west.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday morning until midnight Sunday are expected to be up to 2 mm over the southern agricultural area and far west coast, increasing to 2 to 5 mm over southern coasts and ranges and 5 to 10 mm over the Lower South East.
Monday until WednesdayIsolated showers over the western coasts, gradually extending over the southern agricultural area.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Thursday.Product IDS10033
