Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 29/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high centred over the Tasman Sea will continue to move eastward with a cold front expected to move over the Far West Coast later today before advancing over the rest of the State on Tuesday. A new high is expected to form south of the Bight on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayCloud increasing in the west with patchy light rain developing over areas west of about Cowell to Kingscote by late evening. Mild to warm with moderate northerly winds, freshening ahead of a milder southwest change in the west during the evening.Tuesday 1 MayPatchy rain extending over agricultural areas ahead of a change reaching Adelaide to Whyalla around midday and Broken Hill to Leigh Creek in the evening. Isolated showers south of about Coober Pedy and Leigh Creek following the change, increasing to scattered showers over the agricultural area and the west coast. Chance of isolated thunderstorms with the change. Mild with freshening northerly winds shifting cooler, moderate to fresh southwesterly following the change.Wednesday 2 MayIsolated showers clearing from the eastern districts, but persisting over the southern agricultural area and west coast. Cool with moderating south to southeast winds.Thursday 3 May
Isolated showers over the southern agricultural area and west coast. Isolated showers extending over eastern districts during the day and increasing to scattered for a period over the southeast. Cool to mild with light to moderate southeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday until midnight Thursday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm over the agricultural area and the west coast with local falls reaching 10 to 20 mm over the southern coast and ranges, mostly falling on Tuesday. Less than 2 mm is expected elsewhere.
Friday until SundayIsolated showers persisting over southern agricultural areas, gradually easing through the weekend. Remaining cool to mild across the State as a result of light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Monday.Product IDS10033
