Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 28/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high over the Bight will move eastwards to be centred over the Tasman Sea on Monday. A cold front is expected to move over the far west late Monday before advancing over the rest of the State on Tuesday. Another high is expected to move from the west later in the week.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area south of about Adelaide. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwest to southeast winds, tending moderate to fresh west to southwest about southern coasts.Sunday 29 AprilFine apart from isolated light showers over Kangaroo Island until midday. Morning fog patches over the agricultural area. Mild to warm with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds.Monday 30 AprilCloud increasing in the west with the chance of some patchy light rain developing during the evening. Mild to warm with light to moderate northerly winds, freshening ahead of a milder southwest change in the far west during the evening.Tuesday 1 MaySome patchy light rain developing over agricultural areas ahead of a change reaching Adelaide to Whyalla by late morning and Broken Hill to Leigh Creek in the evening. Isolated showers south of about Woomera following the change, increasing to scattered showers over the southern agricultural area and the west coast of Eyre Peninsula. Chance of isolated thunderstorms with the change. Mild with freshening northerly winds shifting cooler, moderate to fresh southwesterly following the change.Wednesday 2 MayIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area and the western coast. Cool with moderating south to southeast winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday afternoon until midnight Wednesday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm over the agricultural area and the west coast with local falls reaching 10 to 20 mm over the southern coast and ranges, mostly falling on Tuesday. Less than 2 mm is expected elsewhere.Thursday until SaturdayIsolated showers gradually contracting to southern coasts and clearing late in the period. Cool to mild with light to moderate southeast to east winds, turning east to northeasterly on the weekend.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Sunday.Product IDS10033
