MELBOURNE - Apr 27/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high 1027 hPa over the Bight will move eastwards on the weekend to be centred over the Tasman Sea on Monday. A cold front will move across the southeast of the State on Saturday with another front and associated upper system will move across the state on Tuesday. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers about southern coastal areas. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds tending west to southwest about southern coasts.Saturday 28 AprilIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area. Morning fog patches in the south. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwest to southeast winds, tending moderate to fresh west to southwest about southern coasts.Sunday 29 AprilIsolated morning showers about the southern agricultural area. Morning fog patches in the south. Mild to warm with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds.Monday 30 AprilA fine morning apart from early fog patches in the east. Patchy rain developing about the far west during evening. Mild to warm with light to moderate northerly winds, freshening ahead of a milder southwest change in the far west during the evening.Tuesday 1 MayAreas of rain extending over parts south of Port Augusta to Renmark, patchy further north south of about Woomera, during the day. Isolated showers about the agricultural and West Coast district following the rain. Cool to mild with moderate northerly winds ahead of a moderate to fresh southwesterly change extending throughout. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday until midnight Tuesday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm over the agricultural area with local falls of 5 to 10 mm possible over the southern agricultural area and West Coast. Less than 2 mm is expected elsewhere.Wednesday until FridayRain clearing the east early with isolated showers over the agricultural area gradually contracting to southern coastal areas by Friday.
