Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 21/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure system south of South Australia extends a cold front over the far east of the state. This front will move southeastwards over Victoria today. Another front extending from the same low will cross the southeast of South Australia early Monday. A high pressure system is then expected to reach the Bight by Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers over agricultural areas and the West Coast, increasing to scattered showers and possible thunderstorms about southern coastal districts during the afternoon or evening. Patchy rain in the far north. Early morning patchy fog over the North West Pastoral. Cool to mild with light winds in the north and moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds in the south, strong at times over southern coasts.Monday 23 AprilPatchy rain in the far north clearing. Isolated showers extending over the agricultural area and southern Pastoral districts. Scattered showers and possible thunderstorms over the southern agricultural area, increasing to widespread showers about the Lower South East. Generally cool with moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds moderating later in the day.Tuesday 24 AprilIsolated showers about the southern agricultural areas and the West Coast, scattered at first about the southern coasts. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 25 April
Isolated showers about coastal areas. Cool to mild with moderate south to southeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday until midnight Wednesday are expected to be 5 to 10 mm in the far north, 5 to 15 mm over the southern agricultural area, increasing to 10 to 20 mm about southern coasts and ranges, and possibly 20 to 30 mm in the far southeast. Less than 5 mm is expected elsewhere.
Thursday until SaturdayIsolated showers about coastal areas extending over agricultural areas late in the period. Cool to mild with moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Sunday.Product IDS10033
