MELBOURNE - Apr 19/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation An upper disturbance over eastern Victoria will weaken and moving away to the southeast today as a weak trough of low pressure crosses Victoria. A cold front will approach western Victoria later on Saturday before slipping away to the southeast early on Sunday. Another stronger cold front will approach from the southwest later on Sunday before sweeping through Victoria on Monday. Forecast for the rest of FridayMorning fog patches. A partly cloudy day with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly affecting central and eastern districts. Generally mild to warm. Light winds tending southwest to southerly during the day. Fog patches redeveloping tonight.Fire Danger - Low to Moderate.Saturday 21 AprilMorning fog patches. Isolated showers developing over western areas during the late afternoon and evening. Isolated showers possible near the eastern ranges but fine elsewhere. Mild to warm with light wind tending moderate northerly over western districts. Afternoon seabreezes along the central and Gippsland coast.Sunday 22 AprilIsolated showers tending to rain areas over the northeast ranges. A mild and mostly cloudy day with moderate to fresh northerly winds tending westerly from the west.Monday 23 AprilScattered showers tending to rain areas over the northeast.
