Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 18/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high over the southern Tasman sea extends a ridge over South Australia. A trough of low pressure will move into the far west of the State on Thursday, reach Port Lincoln late Friday and move across central parts on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayEarly fog patches about Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East. A fine day, with high cloud increasing the the west. Warm to hot with light to moderate east to northeast winds, fresh in the far west in the morning.Thursday 19 AprilFine apart from possible isolated showers developing west of Fowlers Bay in the afternoon. Warm to hot with light to moderate northeast to northwest winds and coastal sea breezes, turning moderate southerly over the Nullarbor Plain.Friday 20 AprilIsolated showers extending over the west of the State, with possible isolated late showers about southern coasts. Warm to hot with light to moderate northeast to northwest winds, ahead of a cooler moderate to fresh southwest to southerly change extending across the west of the State.Saturday 21 AprilIsolated showers extending across the State except the far northeast. Warm to hot with light to moderate northeast to northwest winds in the north and east, ahead of a milder southwest to southeast change extending across central parts. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday morning until midnight Saturday are expected to be up to 2 mm south and west of Marree, reaching 2 to 5 mm about western and central districts.Sunday until TuesdayIsolated showers extending throughout, then clearing from the northwest later in the period. Cooler southwest to southeast winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Wednesday.Product IDS10033
