MELBOURNE - Apr 16/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high 1029 hPa near Tasmania is moving slowly eastwards and extends a ridge over South Australia for the next few days. A trough of low pressure will move into the far west of the State on Thursday and reach Port Lincoln late Friday. Forecast for the rest of MondayFine and mostly clear. Mild near southern coasts, warm elsewhere. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds and moderate coastal sea breezes until early evening.Tuesday 17 AprilEarly morning fog patches over Eyre Peninsula and the remainder of the southern agricultural area. A fine and mostly sunny day. Warm to hot with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds and afternoon coastal sea breezes.Wednesday 18 AprilFine, with high cloud increasing the the far west. Warm to hot with light to moderate east to northeast winds, moderate to fresh in the west and south in the morning.Thursday 19 April Fine apart from possible isolated showers developing west of Fowlers Bay in the afternoon. Warm to hot with light to moderate northeast to northwest winds and coastal sea breezes, turning moderate southerly over the Nullarbor Plain. Friday 20 April Isolated showers extending over the west of the State, with possible isolated late showers about southern coasts. Warm to hot with light to moderate northeast to northwest winds, ahead of a cooler moderate to fresh southwest to southerly change extending across the west of the State. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday afternoon until midnight Friday are expected to be up to 2 mm.
