MELBOURNE - Apr 14/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system centred over the eastern Tasman Sea is slow moving and will extend a ridge over South Australia through the coming week. A weak trough near the western border early on Sunday will move inland during the day to be positioned over the northern agricultural area late Sunday and Monday. Another trough will approach the western border late Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayFine. A mild to warm evening. Chiefly light winds.Sunday 15 AprilEarly fog patches in the far west, otherwise fine and mostly sunny. Warm to hot with light to moderate northeast to northwest winds, shifting southwesterly across the West Coast and agricultural area during the day.Monday 16 AprilEarly morning fog patches over the southern agricultural area, Eyre Peninsula and West Coast district. A fine and mostly sunny day. Generally warm to hot with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds and afternoon sea breezes.Tuesday 17 AprilEarly morning fog patches over the southern agricultural area. A fine and mostly sunny day. Warm to hot with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds and afternoon sea breezes.Wednesday 18 AprilFine and mostly sunny. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds, moderate to fresh in the west and south in the morning. No rainfall is expected for the period from Saturday until midnight Wednesday.Thursday until SaturdayFine and warm to hot ahead of possible isolated showers developing near the western border later Thursday, gradually extending eastwards to western and southern coasts on Friday and to most districts on Saturday.
