Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 13/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system centred over eastern Victoria and southern New South Wales extends a ridge over most of the state and directs a fresh southeasterly airflow over central and northern parts of the coast. The high will move slowly towards New Zealand over the next few days and be the dominant weather system affecting New South Wales, with generally fine weather expected across the state apart from isolated showers on the north coast and ranges. An upper disturbance may bring light patchy rain to the northwest on Sunday.

Southeast to northeast winds.Saturday 14 AprilIsolated showers about the northern coast and adjacent ranges. The chance of patchy light rain in the far northwest. Fine elsewhere. Early fog patches in the east. Northeast to northwest winds.Sunday 15 AprilIsolated showers about the northern coast and adjacent ranges. Fine elsewhere. Early fog patches in the east. Northeast to northwest winds.Monday 16 AprilScattered showers about the north coast, tending more isolated further in the adjacent inland and in the Hunter district. The chance of afternoon thunderstorms on the North West Slopes and Plains. Fine elsewhere.
