Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 7/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front over the Southern Ocean will cross southern Victoria late Sunday and early Monday. A high pressure system will then move from the Bight to be centred near southwestern Victoria by late Tuesday and will move across the State on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers near the southwest coast, gradually extending inland from late morning, then extending eastwards late afternoon and evening. Cool to mild with light to moderate westerly winds, freshening near the coast.Fire Danger -  Generally low to moderate, but reaching high over the northwest.Monday 9 AprilIsolated showers over southern and mountain districts, extending over the northern plains during the afternoon, though remaining dry in the northwest. Showers becoming more widespread over the southeast during the afternoon with local hail and thunder developing and showers falling as snow above 1200m. Cool west to southwesterly winds, fresh to strong near the coast.Tuesday 10 AprilIsolated showers over southern and mountain districts, scattered in the east at first and falling as snow above 1200m, contracting to East Gippsland during the afternoon. Cool with moderate to fresh south to southwesterly winds, easing from the west.Wednesday 11 AprilFine apart from local morning drizzle near the coast and isolated showers over East Gippsland clearing in the afternoon. Generally mild and becoming sunny with light south to southeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Sunday.Product IDV10310
