Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 6/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front will move across eastern Victoria tonight, introducing a cooler southwesterly flow that will persist for the remainder of the weekend. Another cold front will move over southern Victoria later on Sunday. A strong high pressure system will move into the Bight on Monday and move towards western Victoria on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayCooler and squally west to southwesterly change extending through eastern districts in the evening and at night. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms developing from the west near and following the change.Saturday 7 AprilScattered showers in the east at first. Isolated showers over remaining southern and mountain districts contracting to the coast and clearing during the day. Generally cool with fresh southwesterly winds easing.Fire Danger -  Low to moderate.Sunday 8 AprilIsolated showers in the southwest extending to central districts late afternoon. Generally cool with light to moderate west to southwesterly winds, freshening near the coast.Monday 9 AprilIsolated showers mainly in southern and mountain districts, becoming scattered in the southeast. Cool west to southwesterly winds, fresh to strong near the coast.Tuesday 10 AprilIsolated showers in southern and mountain districts, contracting to East Gippsland. Cool southwest to southerly winds, moderate to fresh in the south and easing from the west.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Saturday.Product IDV10310
