Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 5/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front in the far west is moving steadily eastwards, and will move over the remainder of the State on Friday. An associated low will develop to the south of the Bight overnight and move slowly eastwards. A high will develop in the wake of the front and low, but will move only slowly eastwards to be centred south of the Bight later Monday. A weak front will move over the southeast of the State on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms in the far north and west. Fine elsewhere. Warm with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds. Northerly winds freshening in the west ahead of a milder fresh to strong west to southwesterly change in the far west.Friday 6 AprilIsolated showers extending from the west during the day reaching the far northeast late evening. Isolated thunderstorms developing over the Pastoral and Flinders districts. Showers increasing to scattered over the South East district, Kangaroo Island and southern Fleurieu Peninsula until late afternoon, with isolated thunderstorms in the Lower South East. A milder, fresh to strong southwesterly change extending throughout during the morning and early afternoon, possibly reaching gale force over southern coastal waters in the afternoon and evening.Saturday 7 AprilIsolated showers in the far northeast, clearing by dawn. Fine over the remainder apart from the chance of isolated showers near southern and western coasts. Cool to mild with moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Sunday 8 AprilIsolated showers over the South East district, with the chance of isolated showers over remaining southern and western coasts. Fine over the remainder. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwest to southeast winds.Monday 9 April
The chance of isolated showers near southern coasts, clearing in the evening. Fine otherwise. Cool to mild with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday afternoon until midnight Monday are expected to be 0 to 2 mm, with local falls of 2 to 5 mm about southern coastal areas.
Tuesday until ThursdayFine apart from the chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms in the far northeast on Thursday. Light to moderate southeasterly winds, becoming southeast to northeast from Wednesday. Mild days, becoming warm in the north and west from Wednesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Friday.Product IDS10033
