Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 3/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak ridge of high pressure will persist over the State during Wednesday and Thursday ahead of a cold front expected to move across South Australia on Friday followed by another front on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms in the northwest interior. Fine otherwise apart from areas of morning fog over the agricultural area. A warm to hot day with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Thursday 5 AprilIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms in the west. Fine elsewhere apart from possible early morning fog in the southeast. Warm to hot with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds. Northerly winds freshening in the west and south ahead of a milder westerly change in the far west.Friday 6 AprilIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms extending from the west to reach about Leigh Creek to Renmark by the end of the day. Showers tending scattered about the southern coasts. Warm to hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds, shifting milder fresh to strong southwesterly.Saturday 7 April
Possible isolated early morning showers north of Coober Pedy. Possible isolated showers over the southern agricultural area and west coast. Cool to mild with moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday afternoon until midnight Saturday are expected to be up to 5 mm, with local falls of 5 to 10 mm in the far northwest and about southern coastal areas.
Sunday until TuesdayIsolated showers persisting about the southern agricultural area and the West Coast. Remaining cool to mild with moderate southwest to southerly winds turning south to southeasterly later in the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Wednesday.Product IDS10033
